My father sang and my mother played the piano. I started piano lessons at six.
Best part of being a Salina Symphony musician:
I like playing good music with friends, with many of them being former students. The low brass kicks!!!
Most memorable performance with the Salina Symphony:
I had fun with the West Side Story medley. I enjoy most of the music we play.

George Gershwin and Igor Stravinsky

A variety of music – mostly jazz and blues
How do you spend your free time?
Watching too much TV, playing music, reading
Whom do you admire?
That’s a hard one. There are so many people that I respect for their strength of character and full life.
What is your greatest accomplishment?
Personally – raising two wonderful daughters. Professionally – having former students that are actively involved in music after high school.
