Earliest musical memory:
My mother had an excellent piano transcription of Vivaldi’s Four Seasons that she played frequently when I was very small. The first movement of Spring fascinated me then and is still one of my favorites pieces today. I remember being thrilled years later when I finally saw it in one of my viola method books and could learn to play it!
Best part of being a Salina Symphony musician:
I love making great music with some of my favorite people in the world.
Favorite composer:
I could never pick just one!
What song best describes you when you first wake up in the morning?
I am not a morning person, so the only thing that comes to mind is the White Rabbit’s song from Alice in Wonderland: “I’m late! I’m late! For a very important date!”
What kind of music do you enjoy listening to?
I listen to all kinds of music but my favorite musicians to listen to are my students J
Whom do you admire?
I admire people who maintain an awesome attitude even during stressful times and hard work.
What is your greatest accomplishment?
I always feel the most accomplished when my students experience success and joy during my classes.
